
Mr. Howard Poston

Mr. Poston has served on the PEP Board of Directors since 1995 and contributes over 15 years of experience working with Greene County, one of the founding entities of the PEP program. Mr. Poston is currently the County Administrator. Other positions held in the organization include assistant county administrator and risk manager. Prior to working with Greene County, Mr. Poston worked with financial institutions involving retirement accounts.
Mr. Poston obtained a bachelor’s degree in education from Ohio University with majors in music and zoology. He holds a master’s degree in business from the University of Cincinnati with a major in finance. Additionally, Mr. Poston received an Associate in Risk Management (A.R.M) designation from the Insurance Institute of America. He is a member of the Mayors and Managers Association of Dayton and Public Risk Management Association (PRIMA). Published articles include a feature on carpal tunnel syndrome in Public Risk magazine.
Mr. Poston is committed to his community and volunteers his time to coach youth basketball and soccer. When not involved in professional and civic duties, Mr. Poston enjoys spending time with his wife, Leann, and their three children, Howard III, Brittany, and Jonathan. He also enjoys walking trails, bicycling, swimming, softball, soccer, singing, reading, and watching movies.
