Ms. Beth Bickford

Ms. Bickford joined the board in May 2004 and contributes more than 20 years of healthcare administration. She is currently the Executive Director for the Association of Ohio Health Commissioners (AOHC) and understands the unique insurance needs of public health agencies.

Ms. Bickford has a Master of Science degree from the University of Rochester and a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Case Western University. She is a registered nurse, clinical nurse specialist, basic life support instructor, and certified in critical care nursing. Ms. Bickford has received numerous honors including Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Excellence in Nursing, and Excellence in Nursing Research.

In addition to authoring numerous articles for the Ohio Nurses Association (ONA) newsletter and AOHC newsletter, Ms. Bickford has written several publications including, “Implementing a Researched Based Skin Care Protocol;” An Effort to Identify the Optimum Method of Patient Care Delivery;” and “Portrait of Practice: Developing A Systematic Approach for the Management of Pressure Ulcers.”

Ms. Bickford is deeply committed to her local community. She is an active member with her church in Westerville and currently serves as Chair for the Long Range Planning Implementation Team. Ms. Bickford also volunteers for the Interfaith Hospitality Network and Faith Mission, an organization that helps to provide homeless families with shelter, meals, counseling and job assistance, and the Franklin County Children Services Mentoring Program. In her spare time, Ms. Bickford enjoys music and golf.
